Spurs sign Damon Stoudamire

The San Antonio Spurs have signed former Rookie Of The Year, Damon Stoudamire.

Stoudamire is a quailty point guard and is good enough to be the Spurs #1 guard but will most likely play a backup role to Frenchman Tony Parker.

He is a great addition to the sliding Spurs who are questionable this season due to injuries to their big three. At various times Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Parker have been out of the side which has severly disturbed the cohersion of the Spurs team.

Parker is currently out of the side along with Brent Barry, who is one of their backup points. But with the inclusion of Stoudamire, they have a legitimate PG who can score and do what is needed for the Spurs.

This was shown in the first outing for his new side. Against the Indiana Pacers he started and managed to score 11 points in the easy win for the riegning champions.
