I posted this email back in November 2006 on www.onski.blogspot.com and had to republish it on the all new www.onskisport.blogspot.com.Southend Shrimpers Football Team in England beat powerhouse Manchester United in the Carling Cup. Freddy 'Dirty Harry' Eastwood shot Man U's hopes with a superb free-kick goal in the first half.
Manchester with 10 international players was unable to equalise so Southend ran out with the victory 1-0.
Great effort by Southend who are one of two teams that I keep my eye on in the English Soccer as well as Ipswich Town (both in the Championship League)
